Our Inspiration

Marian Anderson String Quartet Chamber Music Institute

Dear Friend,
A small tax deductible donation to our mission will put a violin in the hands of a child who may never have touched one or send a talented cellist or violist on the right path to music school.  Donate Today online through Fractured Atlas!  Or, click on this link to open and print out a donation form you can mail in!

The Marian Anderson String Quartet Chamber Music Institute is a  sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions on behalf of MASQ/CMI may be payable to Fractured Atlas and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

The Marian Anderson String Quartet Chamber Music Institute is dedicated to nurturing the artistic growth and musical development of young and adult musicians through training in chamber music.  The nine day summer program takes place at Bryan High Fine Arts Building in Bryan,Texas and is based on the Marian Anderson String Quartet's mission to "create new and diverse audiences".

In addition to the intensity of daily rehearsals and coachings with an assigned group the students will participate in masterclasses, outreach workshops as well as formal performances of their own.  The outreach activities within the Institute give students the unique opportunity to learn how to reach out to any segment of the community.

Our innovative and comprehensive approach to performing chamber music can enhance anyone's ability to become a more expressive and communicative person while opening more opportunities for performance.
