About CMI International
The Marian Anderson String Quartet is proud to announce the establishment of the Marian Anderson String Quartet Chamber Music Institute Residency Project, entitled CMI International. This project would offer the same world-class teaching expertise and richly supportive environment of its model in Bryan, Texas, to various communities around the world. CMI International has launched its first site in St. Thomas Virgin Islands.
With in kind support from your organization, the Marian Anderson String Quartet is offering an opportunity for your community to participate in a chamber music residency summer program. The project provides intensive chamber music training to all ages and levels by the Marian Anderson String Quartet based on the quartet’s six-year-old model, the Marian Anderson String Quartet Chamber Music Institute in Bryan, Texas.
Mission
The Institute was created under the concept that anyone who desires to shall have the unique opportunity to partake in the process of learning and performing chamber music with world-class teachers in an intimate and supportive environment. The Marian Anderson String Quartet aims to meet the specific musical needs of each individual community.
